FC Perton Under 15 Pumas Win the Cup
On a lovely sunny sunday afternoon the Under 15 Pumas managed to win the Division Cup Final against Willenhall Town Colts. The previous meetings with the Colts had all gone the Colts way by healthy margins (5-2 and 6-1) but winning the cup final was a great way to put those losses to the back of the players minds.
A very even game for long periods ended with the Pumas running out 4-1 winners with goals coming from Matt Abbiss , Alex Parsons , Sam Willby and Maldini Dos Santos Da Costa.
The only down side to the game were the two injuries , Pumas Goalie went off to hospital with suspected concussion after an accidental clash with the Colts striker in the first half - great save by Louis and then he got clattered across the forehead by a trailing boot. In the 2nd half a fair but very firm challenge between Sam Willby and a Colts defender left the Colts defender with an ankle injury and he was another visitor to A&E.
A well deserved victory for Perton Pumas follows on from their promotion two weeks earlier and achieving all of this in their first season together is a credit to the players (and John-Manager and James-Coach)
