Another sunday morning and Perton lose a game that they dominated for long periods. A very good game from both teams and one that could have finished so differently.
One of the best battling performances in a long time - they worked for each other and looked around for passes instead of hoofing it around.
Our stand in keeper was really good today and set up a few attacks A big thank you to Louis Wallet as he went in goal and did us proud.
Nathan Rammel was as usual fantastic. His defending is superb and he never gives up on anything.
Travis James was a bit slow to start but he soon got into it and was tackling like a man possessed today. He had a couple of good runs and his wing passes were excellent.
Oliver Rammel is a cultured well balanced midfielder who holds the ball well and looks for the intelligent pass. Tackles well and gets back into defence to help out.
Harry Farrington played well today and one of his passes split the Gornal defence apart for Alex to run onto - only a good save stopped us equalising.
Owain Morris ran the defence hard with his mazey runs down the left wing. He has pace to burn and with a final killer pass this kid has it all on the wing.
Alex Morecock never stopped running and trying to make something happen. Hes a strong tackler and took his goal well. He nearly scored with a header and then his shot was well saved. Strong and never stops attacking.
Ryan Goodison was a new player today , hes got over his injury and is back to his best. I thought he was excellent today and rightly had Man Of The Match. Tough tackling and with a throw like Rory Delap he helped us to keep attacking.
Rhian Gwilliam came on for the 2nd half and had some really good runs down the wing and with a bit more play time this kid will proove to be a good left midfielder.
Mohsen Haidari came on in midfield and then moved to right back and as soon as he moved into his spot he came to life and tackled everything and everybody who came anywhere near his area.
Last game next week and its at home again against Halas Hawks. A win to finish the season would be nice.
Looking forward to next season already
